Framingham score incorrect
If I enter data into the medcalc calculator, it gave a score of 3.5%. Whereas it I entered the same data into the calculator on the NIH and AHA websites, it scored as <1%. Unsure of where the error is, but there is one. Data entered was 36 year old male, non smoker, no diabetes, cholesterol 232, HDL 62, systolic 118.

Different scoring is used, please see my comment

The Framingham scoring is a special case because there being different variants. For all formulas you can tap the info button top-right to see which formula was implemented. You can see the actual formula most of the time and you have a link to the PudMed publication. Most formulas are unambiguous but Framingham isn't.
There is a second one on our list but not yet included: https://medcalc.uservoice.com/forums/104899-formula-suggestions/suggestions/2437911-framingham-cvd-risk-2002-atpiii-

Great - if your not using the formula used by the primary organizations - and there is that significant of a variation, it makes me wonder what other formulas have such inconsistencies. And certainly makes me question my continued use of your products.

Note that there are different variants of Framingham calculations out there. We currently only have the one from D'Agostino, published in Circulation in 2008. The result you got is correct (for a patient on BP meds) for this variant.
