I’m afraid that we’re unable to implement STS. It is copyrighted and would require us to become “certified STS vendors” which is an absolutely ridiculous process: http://www.sts.org/sts-national-database/database-participants/how-become-participant

(tried to send this via email, but it didn't get delivered:)

    Thanks for the feedback Mona!

Do you prefer particular things in old MedCalc or just in general? If it’s the former we might be able to improve these aspects.

The EDSS is not readily amenable for MedCalX's format due to its non-mathematical scoring system.

Unfortunately, we're not allowed to add dose calculators, see here:
    http://medcalc.pro/dosegate.html

I'll leave this in the list though, maybe we'll find a solution in the future.

I don't know Spanish abbreviations – can you take a look at our "Oxygen Index" calculator and see if this is what you're looking for?

David, outsourcing is not really an option as we don't want to just produce an app, we want to provide it in a way that we like it. Since we're both still on iOS this is a bit difficult I'm afraid.

Problem is, we are both not using Android and our time is very limited, MedCalc is only a side-project.

PECARN is already included in MedCalc.

We now also have the PECARN (since version 3.0.2), so I'm renaming this to ask for CHALICE.

We would obviously like to bring these formulas back. The difference between Epocrates and MedCalc is that Epocrates is a large, public US company and MedCalc is just two Swiss doctors. We have traded multiple emails and phone calls with Apple, there is nothing we can do.

That would be a nice addition. However, Apple prohibits non-pharma/non-hospital/non-university app developers (i.e. people like us) from publishing dose calculators. Therefore we will have to shelve this idea until Apple comes around.

You can read more here: http://medcalc.medserver.be/dosegate.html

For the time being, Apple does not allow non-pharma/non-medical-institution app developers to publish dosage calculators: http://medcalc.medserver.be/dosegate.html

We're very unhappy about this whole situation but there is nothing we can do. :(
