  1. Drug dosage formula need to come back!

As of version 3.0.5, the following formulas were removed:

    Calvert
    Corticosteroids Converter
    NAC Dosing
    Opioid Converter
    Pediatric Resuscitation Doses
Dose Calculator (was planned for future versions)

Apparently they were forced by Apple to remove them to comply with the App Store policy...
However, Epocrates and many other medical apps have drug dosage calculators. Why then should a great app like MedCalc not be allowed to have drug dose calculators?
I don't know the details of why the formulas had to be removed, but vote if you want the formulas back!

  5. Pediatric Growth Charts

We get a lot of requests for growth charts, but adding a complete charts solution is outside of the scope of MedCalc. A standalone growth charts app done by me at Boston Children's Hospital is now available for free:
    http://p2.github.com/growth-charts/index/

However, we are considering adding percentile/Z-score calculators.

  7. Improvement of the Obstetric Wheel

I purchased this App to make use of Obstetric wheel among others. I would like to recommend that when patients are stored with obstetric information using LMP, when it is loaded to give you an updated Gestational Age (GA), I mean current GA not same age it was when the data was entered. The age updates automatically so please make the gestational age also update automatically also give the option to arrange from lower GA to higher GA or vice versa. It makes easier to manage patients at a glance. I would very much appreciate it if could be done.

  11. Septic shock scores for refractory septic shock definition in children

Hi, We have just published an article about the definition of refractory septic shock in children.
The article is open access on intensive care medicine journal
    http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs00134-016-4574-2

I would love if you could implement both scores used in this article (little like the qSOFA for adult sepsis). The bedside score is similar to the qSOFA, while the computed needs your help to be calculated.

    Thank you

  12. Videos

Would it be possible to add videos (even short ones) to the patient's data as you can already do with pictures? This would be very useful for neurological examination of movement disorders, for example.

  13. Formula idea for cardiology - VO2

    Hi, great app! One suggestion:

The Fick cardiac output is currently calculated with an assumed/entered VO2 numerator. Many cardiologists use the LaFarge formula & BSA to estimate VO2; this would be a helpful added calculator to have.

    LaFarge:

    Males: VO2/BSA (mL/min/m2) = 138.1 − (11.49× ln age) + (0.378×HR)

    Females: VO2/BSA (mL/min/m2) = 138.1 − (17.04× ln age) + (0.378×HR)

BSA best estimated by Mosteller equation which is already in MedCalc.

    Thanks!

    Bob Lee
