El Ganzouri Risk Index (EGRI)
The El Ganzouri Risk Index (EGRI) is a multifactorial scoring system used to predict the probability of a difficult airway, particularly a difficult intubation, in adult patients undergoing anesthesia.
It was developed by El‐Ganzouri et al. in 1996 and integrates seven preoperative variables, each scored 0 to 2 (except one scored 0–1), for a maximum total of 12 points.
