Osmolaridad
Osmolaridad: 140 + glicemia/18 + BUN/2,8
5 votesThe formula “Na + glicemia/18 + BUN/2.8” is used in the “Osmolal Gap (Plasma)” calculator. I will clarify in the next MedCalX update (v 3.2) that this is indeed the osmolaridad calculation. The “/18” part is only needed to convert glucose to a different unit, so it’s not currently shown in our info page. Same for BUN, so I’m considering this formula as completed.

P:F Ratio
P:F ratio is the ratio of arterial oxygen concentration to the fraction of inspired oxygen. It reflects how well the lungs absorb oxygen from expired air.
P/F ratio = PaO2/FiO2 x 100
Normal is 500
Acute lung injury is <300
