  3. Age-adjusted D-dimer

    Age-adjusted D-dimer cut-off (adjusted cut-off value = age x 10 in patients over 50) increases the specificity of the test without significantly reducing its sensitivity.

  8. pediatric drug dosages

    Hi Folks,
    In your previous versions of Medcalc, I was able to access pediatric resuscitation dosages, however, in the most recent versions of the software this is not possible. A message indicating that Apple's policies have caused you to delete this aspect of the program. It was extremely useful having the resuscitation doses readily available. Since you still produce Pedistat, why isn't this program in violation of the same Apple policies?

  18. Canadian CT Head Rule

    Unlike your competitor, MDCalc some of your formulas don't have context or inclusion criteria. For instance the Canadian head rule should be only used if LOC, amnesia or transient confusion. Without those qualifiers you would consider CT if insignificant head injury in >65 year old. This is explicitly stated in the original study.

    My residents have been misapplying these formulas

    Quite a few of your formulas don't have explanatory notes if patients should be included or excluded from use.
